Paradigm has completed the detailed design and calculations for a number of high volume surface water pumping stations for the new Riyadh Metro.
Riyadh Metro is a rapid transport system that is being constructed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The project, known as the Riyadh Public Transport Project (RPTP), is currently the largest public transport project and includes the construction of a completely new 178km state-of-the-art metro system with 85 new stations and 69 driverless trains.
Whilst the project is expected to take 5 years to complete, it is designed to handle Riyah’s rapidly increasing population which is expected to be 8 million by 2030. The new project will reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality as well as create about 15,000 jobs in Saudi Arabia.
