In February 2016, Paradigm completed the washdown pumping system and oil interceptor works at TNT’s brand new Swindon depot.
The 56,000 sq ft parcel hub is TNT’s biggest infrastructure investment in the UK for 15 years according to operations director, Simon Harper. The building has 101 loading doors to give access to the maximum number of vehicles at any time.
Paradigm were tasked by the main contractor to supply a specialist pumping station for the truck wash-down area that was capable of pumping highly acidic washing detergents as well as traces of oil and diesel. The pumping station was designed and manufactured along with a complex alarm system for the 4 oil interceptors that were also installed on the project.
