  • Client: Main Contractor
  • Number of Pumping Stations: 1
  • Project Location: Bath
  • System Type: Foul Pumping Station

During January 2017, Paradigm were awarded a pumping station refurbishment project at an office redevelopment in Bath.  The system was designed to manage the foul water flows from the basement facilities but having been dormant for a number of months, required a complete overhaul.

The landmark building in the centre of Bath was being comprehensively refurbished to deliver a new spacious 45,000 sq. ft. top quality office environment.  It is the first building in the area to boast a completely glass fourth floor providing an impressive panoramic view over Bath’s skyline.

Inside the pumping station, Paradigm engineers removed all the existing pipework, pumps and level controls and re-installed new 80mm guiderail mounted pumps, sluice valves and non-return valves before joining onto an existing drainage stack.  Due to the critical nature of the pumping station, the control panel was designed and built to be linked to the BMS system to alert maintenance teams as soon as possible of any issues.
